Mrs. Elaine P. (Haggerty) Rettman, 61, of Methuen, passed away on Friday, September 28th at Holy Family Hospital. The daughter of Roger and Eleanor (Alfieri) Haggerty she was born in Somerville, lived in Revere before moving to the Merrimack Valley where she had been an area resident for the past 20 years. She enjoyed crafting and sewing, as well as gardening and playing with Dodge the dog, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Rettman is survived by two sons; Erik Rettman and Daniel Rettman both of Methuen, one sister; Desiree Hayes of Methuen, five brothers; Kenneth Haggerty of Effingham, NH, Craig Haggerty, John Haggerty, James Haggerty, and Paul Haggerty all of Methuen, her God-daughter Brittany Hayes of Methuen, God-son Michael Haggerty of Effingham, NH, and Rita Hayes of Methuen and dear friend David Beauchesne of Methuen. There are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd at 9:00 am at Racicot Funeral Home, Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA.
