Entered in to rest Friday, September 21, 2018 at age 85.
Born in Woburn, Residing in Merrimac. Attended Woburn schools – graduated 1951. Attended Whidden Memorial Hospital Nursing School and graduated in 1956 as an R. N. Worked Boston hospitals, Everett hospitals and went on to Textron Defense Systems as an occupational nurse.
Survived by beloved husband Kenneth Carew and her sons, daughter and many grandchildren. She enjoyed skiing, swimming, reading, dancing and card games. Marion was selfless with a big heart that could lighten up the gloomiest of days. She was so proud of her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them and attend their numerous activities over the years. She was devoted to the love of her life – her husband Ken to whom she was married to for 61 years. She would often say “there are no dress rehearsals in life, you must live it to its fullest. Had a wonderful life.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held 10 AM Saturday September 29th at Holy Redeemer Church in Merrimac, Ma.
