Obituary

Laconia------ Beryle R. Eppich, 93, formerly of Meredith, died on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Taylor Home, Laconia.

Beryle was born on May 6, 1925 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Pollakowski) Dempsey. Beryle grew up in South Euclid, OH and in 1941 decided to take flight lessons. Her instructor was Carl Eppich, who Beryle would later marry in 1943, and they eventually moved to Mamaroneck, NY. She also resided in North Weymouth, MA, North Danville, NH, Meredith, NH and Laconia, NH.

Beryle enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. In North Danville, NH her family had a small farm where Beryle grew vegetables, harvested hay, and raised animals. She was the Chairwoman of the Danville School board and was involved with the construction of a new school. Beryle was also a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Jerome’s Parish in North Weymouth.

Beryle is survived by her children: Carolyn DuBois and her husband, Henry Jr.; Frederick Eppich and his wife, Alyssa; Henry Eppich and his wife, Robin Insuik; and Jacqueline Raffi and her husband, Paul; ten grandchildren: Caroline Toussaint and her husband, Scott; Jennifer Cough and her husband, Bryce; Henry DuBois III and his wife, Kimberley; Henry Eppich and his wife, Joanna; Carl Eppich and his wife, Emily; Benjamin Insuik, Hannah Insuik, Sarah Eppich, Nicholas Raffi and Evan Raffi; and eight great-grandchildren: Ava, Henry IV, Madelyn, Ninon, Ansel, Jassiel, Nyah, and Charles. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of twenty-six years, Carl Eppich; a brother, Jack Dempsey, and a sister, Eleanor Schmitt.

A Calling Hour will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at St. Andre-Bessette Parish - St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hour at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Andre-Bessette Parish - St. Joseph Church.

Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Beryle’s name to the Loon Preservation Committee, 183 Lees Mills Road, Moultonborough NH 03254.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers from the Taylor Community where Beryle had lived for sixteen years for their care and friendship while she was a resident.
