Henry L. Strickland, Sr., 74, of Lakeland passed away Monday, September 17, 2018, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Strickland at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ike Thomas will officiate.
Born September 8, 1944 in Upson County, Mr. Strickland was the son of the late Len Strickland and Kathleen Roberts Strickland. Before retiring, he was in the construction business in drywall.
Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Carolyn Allen Strickland of Lakeland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Jr. and Lisa Strickland of Hahira and Johnny and Amy Strickland of Lakeland; three sisters, Carolyn, Pat and Lois; one grandson and his wife, Charles and Kortni Calabrese; and three great-grandchildren, Sydni Calabrese, Chasen Calabrese and Colton Calabrese.
