Anna (Britto) Pereira, age 89, of Fall River passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Santos) Britto, and wife of the late Eduardo Pereira and the late Victor Raposo. Anna lived for her children who were her greatest achievement in life. She loved the simplicity of life, walking on the beach collecting seashells and sea glass; she also loved plants, growing a simple plant brought her joy. Above all, spending time with her family was most important to her.
She is survived by her five children, Mikeline Sullivan (husband William), John Raposo (wife Susan), Jay Raposo (wife Linda), Marcus Pereira, and Benjamin Pereira (wife Jennifer); three siblings, Joseph Britto, Vina Clarke, and Phyllis Mullarky; eight grandchildren, Erin Kazen, Billy Sullivan, Lauren Thompson, Kevin and Kyle Raposo, Elliott, Benjamin, and Sarah Pereira; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rose Skomro.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 11 AM at the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. Calling hours are on Saturday morning from 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anna’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
