Alberto R. Tavares (16) of Brockton died September 14th tragically in the city. He was the loving son of Rui Tavares of Brockton and Angelina Lopes of Santiago, Cabo Verde.
He was born in Praia, Cabo Verde. Alberto was a Brockton High student and communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. He enjoyed riding his motocross motorcycle, dancing and was known as a jokester among his family and friends.
In addition to his parents he is survived by 3 brothers, Elton and Rui Klisman Tavares both of Brockton also Alexander Tavares of Texas, 6 sisters, Jennifer and Vanessa Tavares both of Brockton, Iromy Tavares of Rhode Island, Oldinizia Lopes and Loriania Tavares both of New Bedford and Monica Tavares of Cape Verde.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Monday September 24th at 8 am. Followed by a Final Run to St. Edith Stein Church 71 E. Main Street Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Sunday September 23rd from 5-9 pm.
