Obituary

Charles F. "Chuck" Paz, a lifelong Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2018 at his home. He was 80 years of age.

Chuck was born in Somerville on November 16, 1937, a son of the late Faustino Paz and Ethel I. (Kenney) Paz. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1955. He later continued his education at Northeastern University. When Chuck was a young man, he took responsibility for his family when his parents passed away. He worked for 30 years as an Electrical Engineer for Thompson Engineering in Boston. He enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and spending time at Castle Island in South Boston with his family.

Chuck is the devoted brother of Mary "Sissy" Cleveland, Gloria Chapman, Shirley Morani and her husband William, Judy Shanahan and her husband Allan, Doris Pucillo and her husband James, Millie Hawley, John Paz and his wife Maggie, and the late Helen Paz and Lillian Paz. He is the step-father of Jeanette Prendable and the late Edward Prendable. He is the grandfather of Mark and Michael Prendable, Casey and Zach Allen, and his great-granddaughter Carly. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Chuck's visiting hours on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His Funeral Service and burial will be private.
