Jeffrey S. Pina, 63, of New Bedford passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl A. (Mendes) Pina.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late John Andrade and the late Agnes (Rose) Pina, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Jeffrey was employed by the Massachusetts Department of Correction for 27 years, retiring as a Captain.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Stephanie Pina and her companion, Jorge Neves and Stephen Pina; his granddaughter, Jaelynne Neves; six siblings, Clinton Pina, John Andrade, Rodney Pina, Maria Pina, Edwin Pina, and Rosemary Pina; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings Robert Pina, Melvin Pina, and George Pina.
A celebration of his life will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11 AM at Hope Evangelical Community Church, 88 Hathaway Road, Dartmouth, MA. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
