Belmont, NH ----- Sadly, Carl Frederick Pierce, 68 3/4, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 after a long period of declining health.
Carl was born in Lakewood, NJ on November 11, 1949, the third son of Wilbur and Sarahjane (Monahan) Pierce. He grew up in both Lakehurst and Bayville, NJ. Carl graduated from Central Regional High School in 1968.
Carl held blue collar jobs his whole life until he became permanently disabled. During his "retirement" he was able to do the things he never had time for while working. Carl enjoyed going on family vacations, new adventures to unknown destinations, NASCAR (his favorite driver was Martin Truex Jr.), and spending time with his loved ones. He was also devoted to his fur-baby grandkids.
The most precious thing to Carl was his family. In 1995 Carl, wife Paula, and their three kids permanently moved to New Hampshire to enjoy life the way it should be lived. Carl and his late wife Paula (Lerp) Pierce celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on October 9, 2003 before her sudden passing on April 21, 2004.
He is survived by his son Michael Pierce of Laconia, NH; daughter Kimberly Pierce of Belmont, NH; and daughter Sarah Pierce of Belmont, NH; his three brothers and sisters-in-law Dale and Darlene Pierce of Toms River, NJ, Thomas and Patricia Pierce of Bayville, NJ, and Jeffrey Pierce and partner Linda of Pine Beach, NJ; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond and Carol Lerp of Laconia, NH; along with an enormous number of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Other than the love of his life Paula, he was predeceased by his father Wilbur in 1985, mother Sarahjane in 1993, and older brother Ronald in 1969.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday September 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A graveside service will follow at 12:30 at Bayside Cemetery, 1345 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
