Methuen – Patricia Ann (Swett) Walczak, 51, passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, surrounded by her family, after a courageous 18 year battle with a rare spinal cord tumor.
Patricia was born on June 9, 1967 in Tewksbury, MA to the late William and Ruth Swett. She was raised in Wilmington, MA by her foster parents, the late George and Bessie Rydberg. Patricia attended Wilmington public schools and later graduated from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in 1985, specializing in culinary arts. As a trained chef, she enjoyed cooking for work and for pleasure and founded her own personal chef service company ‘The Pampered Palate.’ In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed spending time with family and friends, trips to the beach, deep sea fishing, spending time with her many pets and tackling multiple home improvement projects at her home in Methuen.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband Jack Walczak, with whom she recently celebrated two years of marriage this past April. She is also survived by her children, Courtney Lee Ordway and her fiancé Timothy Hughes of Haverhill, MA and Justin Lee Ordway of Lowell, MA.
Patricia also leaves behind her brothers William McMullen of Maryland and Paul McMullen of Salisbury, MA, as well as her two foster sisters, Christine Waite and husband David of Iowa and Susan Danskin and her husband Mark of Dracut, MA, along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, September 10, 2018, from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm at Tewksbury Funeral Home, located at 1 Dewey Street, (at 975 Main St. - Rte. 38) Tewksbury, MA. Her funeral service will begin on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass to be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at Saint Williams Church, 1351 Main Street, (Rte. 38) Tewksbury, MA. Burial services will be held immediately following Funeral services at Saint Mary Cemetery, located at 90 River Road, Tewksbury, MA.
