SOMERSET – Paul John Palumbo, age 99 of Somerset, passed away at home on Wednesday, Sep. 5, 2018. Born in Barrington, RI, he was the son of the late Rafael & Josephine Palumbo and the husband of the late Helen (Cabral) Palumbo.
Paul served his country during WW II in the 355th Fighter Squadron of the US Army Air Corp. Prior to retiring, he worked as a Master Carpenter & Builder. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church, a lifelong golfer and gardener
He was the father of Paul S. (wife Cathy) and Thomas T. (wife Jo-Ann) Palumbo; grandfather of John P. & Thomas J. Palumbo and Jamie Ventura; & uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Connie Sanchas, Ruth Rebechi, Vincent, Gary, Ralph Palumbo, Glenna Conti.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, Sep. 10, 2018 here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery Somerset. Calling hours Sunday, Sep. 9, 2018 from 4-7 P.M.
