Obituary

Rita P. Iacono (Mure’) of Dedham, formerly of Stoughton, passed away surrounded by her loving family September 4th at the Bostonian Rehabilitation Center in Dorchester. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, she graduated from Nardin Academy in Buffalo and D’Youville College in Buffalo. She lived in Stoughton for many years where she was active in the Stoughton Counsel on Aging, a Volunteer at the New England Sinai Hospital, a volunteer at the West Elementary School in Stoughton and a volunteer at Hixon Farm in Sharon.
Beloved wife of the late Lawrence C. Mother of Paula A. Iacono of East Amherst, NY, Lauren C. Iacono-Connors and her husband John of Bonita Springs, FL, Andrea I. Boyd and her husband Robert of Waltham, Lia H. Iacono and her husband Mike Mancini of Sharon and Gina M. Iacono of Boston. Grandmother of Sarah E. Bouthsavong and her husband Phoxay, Jennifer M. Boyd and her fiancé Michael Guerin, Michael L. Boyd and LCPL Ian A. Iacono Potter. Sister of the late Vincia, Frank and Thomas Mure’. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday from 4-8 pm. The visitation will conclude with a Memorial Service at 8 pm. Rita will be laid to rest with her late husband, Lawrence Iacono, at St. John’s Cemetery in Queens, New York.
