Fall River – Pedro D. Pimentel, age 77 years old, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmen Lucia (D’Abruzzo) Pimentel and son of the late Antonio Augusto and Violante (Arruda) Pimentel.
Pedro was born in St. Michael,Azores and came to this country in 1974 and worked as a weaver for Quaker Fabric for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his 2 children: Pedro Pimentel and Ana Grochmal; 2 siblings: Donaria Martinez and Vera Silveira, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as a nephew and several nieces.
His funeral service will be held Saturday morning in the funeral home with an hour of visitation, beginning at 7:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian burial to be held at 8:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will immediately follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
