Raymond Vance, age 64, of Water Valley, MS died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at University Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born January 25, 1954 in Sunflower County to the late Basil Buford and Daisy Grantham Vance. He worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in the Appleton Room of Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 10 AM until 12:00 PM. Services will immediately follow in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Harold Foster serving as minister. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona, MS with Benny Foster, James Scott, Chris Vance, Timothy Vance, Cody Beckham, and Adam Ridout serving as pallbearers.
Raymond is survived by two daughters, Ashley Vance of Quitman, MS and Jessica Ridout (Adam) of Philadelphia, MS; two sons, Chris Vance of Philadelphia, MS and Tim Vance of Greenville, MS; five sisters, Annie Bramlette of Water Valley, MS, Myrtis Hollings (Leon) of Randolph, MS, Virginia Scott (James) of Randolph, MS, Barbara Schwinn of Water Valley, MS, and Mary Francis Ramos of Bruce, MS; and one brother, James Buford Vance of Greenville, MS.
Along with his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Ray Vance and Jimmy Lee Vance.
