Carol A. Elwell, a lifelong Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the North End Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a 3 month battle with cancer. She was 60 years of age.
Carol was born in Boston on October 25, 1957, a daughter of the late Ardon R. Elwell and Margaret A. (Jesson) Elwell. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1975. Carol worked as a Coordinator for the Massachusetts General Hospital in the Emergency Department for over 30 years. She enjoyed sitting outside her home with her neighbors.
Carol is the beloved mother of Nicole Costanzo. She is the loving sister of Ruth Stokes of Tewksbury, Laurie Inman of New Hampshire, Terry Elwell of West Virginia, and Michael Elwell and his wife Frances of York, ME. She is the beloved aunt of Jason Stokes and his wife Heather, Chris Elwell and his wife Carla, and Mary Stokes. She is the loving great-aunt to Adriana Stokes, Madison Stokes, and Reilly Elwell. She is the beloved niece of Jean Jesson, and Jimmy Jesson and his wife Janie.
Carol's Funeral Services and burial were private.
