Mary A. Adams, 95, Anderson, died August 23, 2018 at Providence of Anderson.
She was born May 5, 1923, in Anderson, the daughter of John H. and Alta Marie (Henry) Alford. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1941. She lived in Anderson most of her life wintering in Lady Lake, Florida as a Snowbird for 20 years.
She worked production at Delco Remy Division of General Motors 31.5 years before retiring in 1976, and then was a greeter at Meijer for 6.5 years.
Mary attended Lake Street Church in Chesterfield. She was a member of A. B. W. A. for 50 years and a member of Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her two sons, Leslie "Phil" (Peggy) Adams and Jack L. Adams; her sister, Nancy (Butch) Dadlow; three grandchildren, Pat Hiday, Jessica (Hiday) (husband Chad) Frerker and Brandy Michelle (Jeremy) Whittenborn; five great grandchildren, Jessica, Madison, Derek, Nate and Will and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie C. Adams died July 21, 2002; her daughter, Linda D. Hiday; three brothers, Robert Alford, Jack Alford and Jerry (Carol) Alford and her sister, Rosalie Lindsey.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until the service at the funeral home.
