Obituary

William Allen Sailors, 76, beloved husband of Rebecca “Becky” Harper Sailors, entered into rest on Friday, August 24, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley officiating. Interment will be private.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Sailors is survived by his son, Christopher Sailors (Deborah); his daughters, Julie Sailors, and Dana Banker (Joey); his sister, Lee Lee (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Amanda Gazaway, Jessica Story (Joshua), AnneMarie Allen, Samuel Allen, Joshua Sailors, and Lydia Sailors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Allen Sailors and Hattie Estell Dutton Sailors; his grandchildren, Taylor Gazaway, and Sean Dover; and by his siblings, Dorothy Kent, Mildred Adams, Deanie Wilson, and Junior Sailors.

Mr. Sailors was a long-time member of Warren Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and usher. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Sailors retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of Gideons International and loved researching genealogy.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Allen, Joshua Story, Matthew Harper, David Mote, Michael Kent, and Russell Harper. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Farr, Harry Wade, Jim Reynierson, David Timmerman, Tom Ruffin, and Buddy Gardner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 27, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
