Obituary

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, MAINE—James F.Daisey, Jr., 88, of Old Orchard Beach and formerly of Gorham, New Hampshire, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the Pine Point Rehabilitation Center in Scarborough, Maine after a period of failing health.

He was born August 27, 1929, a son of James F. and May Ellen Cummings Daisey. James was a loving husband to Viola Dalphonse. They were married for 67 years until her death, October 5, 2017.

As a father, he fully enjoyed mentoring. He also liked to take rides and scenic tours around Maine.

In 1948, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired as a Warrant Officer-2, after serving 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts in 1968.

He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Old Orchard Beach. While living In Gorham, he was an active member of the Holy Family Parish serving in many of the parish’s organizations.

Predeceasing him besides his parents and his wife was a sister, Dot Wallace; a brother, William Daisey; a daughter, Donna Marie Daisey; a daughter in law, Sharon (Fitzpatrick) Daisey; 2 sons, James F. Daisey, III and William Daisey; and a great grand daughter, Elizabeth Mulligan.

Survivors include 2 sons, Samuel Daisey and his wife Anne, Old Orchard Beach; Karl Daisey and his wife Nancy , Gorham, New Hampshire; granddaughters, Kim Mulligan and her husband, Jonathan, of Berlin, New Hampshire; Karen Daisey and her Fiance, Matthew Leeman, Gilead, Maine ; Dina Albert and her husband, Scott, Newmarket, New Hampshire; James F. Daisey, IV and his wife Adriana, Bellingham, Massachusetts; grandsons, Bill Daisey and his Fiancee, Maygan Donovan, Milan, New Hampshire; Shawn Daisey, and Michael Daisey both of Berlin, New Hampshire; 8 Great grandchildren, Jonathan Mulligan, Jr., Lilly Mulligan, Destiny and Hunter Leeman, Elizabeth and Olivia Albert, Aria Daisey and Kendal Donovan.

A Visitation period will be from 11:00 AM until Noon on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, New Hampshire followed by the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00PM at Holy Family Church in Gorham.

Following the Mass, graveside services, with Military Honors, and interment will be in the family lot in Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham.
