Hildegard B. Mauzy, 80 of Derry, NH died Sunday August 19, 2018 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Mrs. Mauzy was born in Ochsenhausen, Germany on November 30, 1937, the daughter of the late, Joseph and Barbara (Durringer) Baur. She met her late husband, Thomas R. Mauzy in 1964 in Germany, married in 1969 and came to the US in 1977. Hildegard enjoyed puzzles, knitting, was an excellent cook and an avid Red Sox fan. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and Oma.
She is survived by her son, Thomas R. Mauzy II of Derry, her grandson, Ryan Max Mauzy of Derry, five sisters, Theresa, Regina, Elisabeth, Barbara and Siglinde and one brother, Hubert Baur. She was predeceased by her husband in 2013, and by three brothers.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held Friday, August 24th at 1:00pm at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breathe New Hampshire, 145 Hollis St., Unit C, Manchester, NH 03101-1235. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting with arrangements.
