NATICK: Anne Marie (Johnson) Kime, 84, of Natick passed away on Friday, August 17th in her home after a period of declining health surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Robert J. Kime, of 56 years. Anne Marie was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Cook) Johnson.
Anne Marie is survived by her sons Robert W. Kime and his wife Darlene of Medway and Edward C. Kime and his wife Kathleen of Harker Heights, TX; her grandchildren: Robert James, Julia Anne, Nathan and Evan; and her beloved brother Gerald A. Johnson and his wife Judith of Shrewsbury. She is predeceased by her siblings, Edward A. Johnson and Oliver F. Johnson and Mary (Johnson) Moore.
Anne Marie was raised in Natick. She graduated high school from Our Lady Help Christians High School in Newton, MA and went on to become an elementary school teacher in Natick after graduating from Boston State Teachers’ College. She taught until she took time off to raise her family. Later in life, she continued on with her love of children and had a childcare in her home.
Anne Marie enjoyed researching family history, traveling with her husband throughout the Unites States and overseas. She loved her time as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Natick, at the Lincoln Café located at the Natick Council on Aging, and was on the executive Committee for the Natick Medical Reserve Corp.
The family would like to acknowledge Metrowest Hospice and Metrowest VNA for their exceptional care of Anne Marie. Their dedicated compassion will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23rd from 4:00-7:00 P.M. in John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 24th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Linus Parish, 119 Hartford Street in Natick. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery also in Natick.
