BAR MILLS- Arlene T. Libby, age 91, passed away on Aug. 17, 2018 at Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Portland on Oct. 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Christen and Vilhemmina (Bertelsen) Thomsen.
Arlene is predeceased by her first husband- Vaughn Dale Carey; a son- Allen M. Carey; and her siblings- Elmer Thomsen, Anne Christensen, and Mae Clabby.
She is survived by her husband A. Ben Libby; children- Mark V. Carey of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Jeanne C. Hildenbrand of NY; stepchildren- Chris, Peg, and Andy Libby; grandchildren- Jeramie, Brian, Sarah, Lucas, Philip, Nathan, Cyrus, and Zachary; and great grandchildren- Emberlynn, and Deagland.
A private graveside service will be held in the fall at South Buxton (Tory Hill) Cemetery.
