New Bedford – Neli Maria Botelho, age 65 years old, of New Bedford passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Jose Manuel Botelho of New Bedford and daughter of the late Mariana (Vieira) and Antonio Caetano Linhares.
Neli was born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores and she worked as a Seamstress at several local factories.
She is survived by her husband, Jose; children, Jose Botelho Jr., Maryan Botelho and Erica Botelho all of New Bedford; grandchildren, Makaelah Saunders and Christian Botelho; sisters, Odete Tiburcio and Maria Rosanina; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church @ 10:30 A.M. Everyone is asked to meet directly at Church. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
