CRONIN, Gail (Murphy) Of Sherborn formerly of Wellesley, passed away on August 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Cronin, retired President of Grover Cronin’s of Waltham, with whom she enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. She was predeceased by her husband Peter R. Maitland and her mother Eileen M. Murphy.
Devoted mother of Suzanne Maitland and her husband Kenneth Young, Peter Maitland and his partner June Peckingham, Robert Cronin Jr. and his wife Andrea, Johanna Cronin and her partner Rory Williamson, David Cronin, and Diana Fiorino and her husband Philip.
Loving grandmother of Nicole Corbo, Peter and Michael Maitland, Ava Fiorino, Cavan Cronin, Elsa Cronin and Natalie Cataldo.
Raised in Wellesley, MA, she graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Member and volunteer of the Sherborn Garden Club, Friends of the Sherborn Library, Sherborn Council on Aging, the International Wine and Food Society of Boston, the Grover J. Cronin Memorial Scholarship Foundation, and longtime faithful parishioner of St. Theresa’s Parish in Sherborn.
Visiting hours at St.Theresa’s Church, 35 S. Main St., SHERBORN, Tuesday, Aug. 21 from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in the church, Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10am. Relatives and friends Kindly invited. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn.
