Linda M. Gomes, 54, of Hyde Park died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of Eva Gomes of New Bedford and the late Richard Cruz, she had lived in Boston for 20 years.
Linda was a graduate of Roxbury Community College.
She was employed by Boston University for the past six years.
Linda enjoyed going to casinos and spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her mother, Eva; her daughters, Linda Gomes of New Bedford and Tiffany Haley of Boston; her grandson, Spencer "Pumpkin" Taylor of Boston; her siblings, Paul Gomes of Wareham, Brian Gomes, Robert Gomes, Richelle Gomes, and Richard Gomes, all of New Bedford, and Rachel Gomes of Dorchester; two Goddaughters, Corrina and Jennaya; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday August 20, 2018 from 4-8 PM.
