Obituary

Robert “Wimpy” Winston Ward Sr. of Natick, 83, passed away August 14, 2018 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland, after a period of declining health. He was born in Natick on June 17, 1935 and was a life-long resident.
He was the son of the late Everett and Eva (Frizzle) Ward, predeceased by brother Richard and Sister Dianne. Also predeceased by his wife Roberta (Roberts) of 36 years.
Wimpy served the town of Natick in his many jobs held here, but retired from the DPW January, 2000 after 46 years.
He was a member of the Natick Lodge of Elks #1425 and enjoyed playing Pitch on Friday nights there.
He is survived by his three Sons: Robert Ward Jr. of Framingham, Glenn and his wife Kristin Ward of Holliston, Jeff and his wife Tracy Ward of Natick, and his three Daughters, Linda Quilty and husband Jack, Lisa Trepanier, and Lori Howe and husband Bill all of Natick. Fourteen Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His sister Alice Macumber and her husband Don and his sister-in-laws Jane Hladick and Midge Roberts all of Natick.
He so enjoyed hosting Friday night pizza suppers at his home with his children and grandchildren. Holiday gatherings and Wednesday night suppers were also special for him.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common on Saturday August 18, at 09:00 A.M. A Graveside Service will follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.
Visiting hours will be held Friday evening 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
