Pascoag – Rita T. ( Gelinas) Carpentier, 88, of Pascoag, died Tuesday August 14, 2018, at the Overlook Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Conrad Carpentier.
Rita was born and raised in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Loretta( Champagne) Gelinas .
Mrs. Carpentier had worked for The Holiday Nursing Home in Manville for 18 years in the dietary dept., and also worked for the US Rubber Company in Woonsocket for many years.
She had wintered in Winter Haven Florida for over 20 years, she spent most of her life in Manville, a Parishioner of St. James Church.
Rita liked playing Bingo and Cards,
She liked to travel, and went on many cruises.
Mrs. Carpentier is survived by her son Rene Carpentier and his wife Teresa of Woonsocket, her daughter Susan Nassar of Winter Haven Florida.
Rita was the grandmother of 9.
She was the sister of the late Maurice Gelinas, and the mother of the late Pauline Dubois, and also Jeanne Morin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday August 17, 2018 at 10:00am in St. James Church,33 Division Street, Manville, RI. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
