Susan E. Adams-MacInnis, a lifelong resident of Charlestown entered into eternal life on Friday, August 10, 2018 following a dignified and courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years of age.
Susan was born in Chelsea on January 22, 1949, a daughter of the late Lamar R. Adams and Mary N. (Hall) Adams. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Rosary Academy High School in Watertown in 1966. Susan worked as a Patient Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in the Thoracic Surgery Department and retired following over 35 years of dedicated service. Susan took great pride in her life while she became the lifelong caregiver for her mother before she passed away. She enjoyed portrait painting, traveling to North Waterboro, Maine and helping out in the summer and fall seasons at the Libby & Son U-Pick Blueberry Farm in Limerick, Maine. Susan enjoyed life to the fullest and appreciated the quality times she spent with her beloved Peter and sister Barbarajean.
Susan is the adoring wife of Peter G. MacInnis who she married at her bedside in Massachusetts General Hospital on Thursday, August 9, 2018. She is the devoted and loving sister of Barbarajean Adams. She is also survived by her beloved cats Sam and Mr. Guiness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Susan's Funeral on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be private. Her visiting hours will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
