Obituary

WORCESTER__ Bella Therese (Dalbec) Duquette, 95, of Worcester died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Bella is survived by her husband of seventy years, George P. Duquette. She also leaves her children; son Philip Duquette and his wife Nancy of Hertford, NC; daughters, Donna Lee Duquette and her husband Bruce Ela of Lunenburg, Janine Spillane of Auburn, Linda Verstein and her husband Howard of Warrenville, Il, Cheryl Harvey and her husband Mike of Magnolia, TX and Mary Grant and her husband Bill of Uxbridge, seventeen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bella was predeceased by her brothers Roland, Rosario, Conrad and Edgar Dalbec; sister Yvonne Benoit. She was born in Rumford, ME a daughter of the late Adolphe and Georgianna (Chenard) Dalbec.

Mrs. Duquette was raised and educated in Rumford Maine. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Bella was active and adventurous, with a quick wit and a taste for adventure. She stayed home to happily raise her children in a Catholic household. Bella loved to travel with her husband George and family. Together with George they became “Globe Trotters” in their retirement traveling throughout the world. She enjoyed board games, cards and doing word search puzzles. Bella was a member of St. Joseph Church – Holy Family Parish. She belonged to the Sodality – Child of Mary and was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital for many years.

The funeral will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Church at Holy Family Parish, 35 Hamilton Street. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, August 12, from 5:00 P,M, to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
