TEWKSBURY - Mr. Donald L. Bibo, age 64, a devoted family man and Project Manager during his long working career, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, August 9, at Lahey Medical in Burlington from complications after transplant surgery last month. He was the beloved husband of Gerrie (Ulatowski) Bibo, with whom he would have celebrated a forty-fourth wedding anniversary on August 31.
Don was born in Medford in April 1954, one of five sons of the late Ralph and Phyllis (Pelusi) Bibo, and raised in Medford. After his marriage, he moved from Medford to Tewksbury in 1978.
He began his career at Hewlett-Packard, which would become Philips Electronics and rose to the position of Project Manager during his thirty-five year career with the companies. Most recently he worked as a Manager for G 1 Services, a subcontractor for Jet Blue Airways at Boston’s Logan Airport.
Don loved sitting on his deck at the Cape watching the boats and rooting for all Boston sports. But Don’s true passion in life was his family and spending time with his grandchildren teaching them games, telling them stories, and loving each with all of his heart.
Besides his wife, he leaves four beloved children, Donald L. Bibo Jr., and his wife Wendi of Tewksbury, Christopher M. Bibo and his wife Erica of Wakefield, Lauren N. Morris and her husband Mark of Tewksbury, Ashley A. Morgan and her husband Carl of Windham, NH; seven grandchildren, Trent Bibo, Travis Bibo, C.J. Bibo, Shea Morris, Ryan Morris, Max Morgan and Ivy Morgan; five brothers, John and wife Kathy Bibo of No. Reading, Paul and wife Karen Bibo of Mashpee, David Bibo and wife Nancy Popp of Dennis, Mark and wife Robin Bibo of CT; and many nieces and nephews.
