MALDEN - Suzanne (Wilcox) Heffernan, age 57, a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, died peacefully in the care of her family and staff at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Thursday, August 9, after a six year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the life-partner, for more than twenty-five years, of Cary Silverstein of Malden.
She was born in Lowell in April 1961, one of three children of the late Marilyn (McCartney) and Donald Wilcox, and raised in Lowell. She had lived in Malden since 1980.
When her health allowed, she worked as an Office Manager in a Dental Practice.
Suzie leaves behind five children, Robert F. Heffernan III and his wife Laura of No. Chelmsford, Steven A. Heffernan and Jade Csizmesia of West Newbury, Tanner J. Heffernan of Malden, Alyssa Silverstein of Malden, and Nathaniel C. Snow of Lowell; was grandmother of Asher A. and Aurora Suzanne Heffernan both of West Newbury; the sister of Donna L. Wilcox and her partner Ronald Reppucci of Malden, James D. Wilcox of Lowell; an aunt to many; friend to all; and was anticipating the birth of her third grandchild.
