Barbara L. (Reed) Tessier, 75, of Whitman and Brockton passed away on August 6th at the Baypointe Rehabilitation Center, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Norman J. Tessier.
She was born in Whitman, daughter of the late Everett and Blanche (Reed) Reed. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Whitman and Brockton.
Barbara spent many years as a homemaker and enjoyed playing spades and other various games. She also loved her family and her cat.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Schertz and her husband Peter, her sons John Tessier and his wife Carol of NC, Steven and James Tessier of Brockton. She was the proud grandmother to Geoffrey Dean, Jonathan and Katrina Tessier, Timothy Leurini and his wife Stephany, Daniel Leurini, Gina Eaton and great grandmother of Matthew Leurini, sister of the late Robert M. Reed and Marion Creager; also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her graveside service will be held in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman on Friday August 10th at 9:00AM. Visitation will be on Thursday August 9th in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman from 4:00-7:00PM.
