Michael Cline Hoyt, 68, of Ojai, California, passed away on August 5, 2018 at his home. Michael was born in Lamar, Colorado to Milton and Gaby Hoyt on April 18, 1950. Michael moved to California in the early 1950s where he attended Catholic school and went on to graduate high school at Buena High in 1968. Michael studied drafting at Ventura County Community College and went on to pursue a career in welding, industrial painting and carpentry. He traveled to work in Puerto Rico and Haiti to help rebuild after the earthquake of 2010. His hobbies included home improvement, spending time with his wife, friends and family.
He is survived by his wife DeAnn, his children Ona and Travis, their spouses Paul and Carrie, grandchildren Shelbi, Colby, James, Aubrey, Jessica, and Jack, brother Patrick and sister-in-law Marcia, brother John, and sister Margaret. Michael will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Funeral Service to be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 11AM in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Interment will followed at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd, Ventura, ending with a reception at the home of Mike and DeAnn Hoyt.
