Obituary

Dylan Andrew Williams, 17, peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, while surrounded by those who loved him.

Dylan was born March 26, 2001 in Jacksonville, FL and was a life-long resident. He was a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church and also attended Southside Baptist Church.

Dylan courageously fought a gallant battle with Cystic Fibrosis, a condition that affected him his entire life. He never let it get him down. He was always upbeat and positive in living his life, and in his love for others.

He was a member of the 2018 graduating class of Crossroads Christian High School. Dylan was one of Tim Tebow's W15H Kids and was involved with the Dreams Come True Organization. He was an expert Gamer, an avid FSU fan, loved music, and his pets, Max, Bandit, Luke, Maggie and Baron.

Dylan was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert E. Townsend, his great grandparents, Leland T. Clayton, Amelia K. Clayton and Dr. Charles A. Williams and Dr. Georgia G. Williams; Great Uncle Jerry W Batton.

Survivors include his devoted parents, Stephanie T. Williams (Glenn) and Bert A. Williams, Jr, (Casey), his grandparents, Donna C. Gentry (Dave), Bert A. Williams, Sr. (Linda), Yvonne B. Townsend, Suzy Williams (Speedy) and Jimmy Wood (Deborah); his Great Aunts Debbie C. Mills (Ralph), Charis Williams, Karen M Batton, Uncle Charles Christopher Williams (Hannah) and Great Uncle Thomas R. Batton; and Cousins, Daniel (Denise) Daniel and Kennedy Mills; Cousins Cason and Charlie Williams; and Cousins Melanie , Nicole and Matthew Stacey; As well as many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, 501 State Rd 13, St Johns, FL 32259. A reception will follow at the church. Entombment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park following the reception. Dylan requested that his service be a celebration of his life. He asked that no one wears black and everyone comes in bright and cheerful colors.

The family will receive friends at the visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fruit Cove Baptist Church.

Flowers are welcomed, but those who prefer may make memorial donations in Dylan's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org) or the Tim Tebow Foundation (www.timtebowfoundation.org).
