Lucia J. (Madeira) Baganha, 58, of New Bedford passed away suddenly at home on Saturday July 28, 2018. She was the wife of Roberto Baganha.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel Matos Madeira and Odelia (Sousa) Madeira, she lived in New Bedford since 1990.
Lucia was employed by St. Luke's Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.
She is survived by her husband, Roberto; four children, Telma Baganha and her fiancé Nathan Baptista, Kimberly Baganha Grant and her husband Niccolai, Mauro Baganha and his wife Kathy, and Michael Baganha; her siblings, Cesar Madeira, Antonio Madeira, Cidilia Silva, Maria Madeira, Gorette Madeira, Nascimento Baganha, Isaura Sousa Madeira, Lurdes Ross, and Lucilia Baganha; seven grandchildren, Jalen, Kevin, Evan, Ava, Sabrina, Mason and Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals,495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
