Laconia----- Dorothea M. Ouellette, 89, of Laconia passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
Dottie was born on February 2, 1929 in Laconia, NH to Joseph and Maida Gamache. Dottie was employed by the phone company for many years. She met and married Dee Ouellette and had three sons. She and Dee enjoyed each and every game and track meet that their sons participated in. Dee & Dot spent many happy winters at their home in Cape Coral Florida. They were quite competitive at shuffleboard with all their friends. Dee passed away in 1995.
Dorothea is survived by her sons Daniel and wife, Pamela, of Plymouth, NH, Dennis and wife, Susan, of Simsbury, CT, and David and wife, Barbara, of Beaconsfield, Canada; and her grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Tory, Liz, and Lianna. This year Dottie welcomed her first two great grandchildren; a girl, Harper, born in April to Chris & Tori LoRusso, and a boy, Luca, born in June to Michael & Laura Curiel-Miller.
Dottie was blessed with an amazingly loving group of family and friends. Her sisters Jean Drouin, Jane Dickson, Pat Gamache, and brother Peter Gamache, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to her niece Joey Rolfe and her sisters Jane & Pat who were a huge help and comfort to Dottie throughout her life and passing. Also a thank you to her dear friend Frederica Tatham. Dot was predeceased by two other siblings, her brother John Gamace and sister Marjorie Sheehan.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:30am at St. Andre Bessette Parish-St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia NH.
