New Bedford – Edward Arruda, age 47, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family, he was the son of the late Edward L. Arruda and Maria C. (Claudino) Arruda.
Eddie worked as a Department Manager for Walmart in Fairhaven and was a devoted and loyal employee for 26 years. He was devoted and loving son to his mother.
He is survived by, his Mother, Maria C. Arruda of New Bedford; his 2 Sisters: Susan Nadeau and her husband James of Acushnet and Laurie Gregorio and her husband John of New Bedford; 3 Extended Siblings: Kerry Hughes of Dartmouth, Carlton Jorge of Lakeville and Christopher Jorge of Fall River; 1 Goddaughter: Justine Taylor of Texas; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. His funeral will be Thursday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will take place at a later date.
