Obituary

Joseph J. Yablonski, 74, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Wednesday July 25, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Worcester, MA on July 10, 1944, a son of the late Joseph and Florence (Simonavich) Yablonski. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Joseph received his bachelor’s Degree from Nichols College in Dudley, MA. In December 1988, he and his two beloved business partners, Mark Scerra and David Ives, started Northshore International Insurance Services (NIIS) where he worked as an Insurance Consultant. Upon retiring from NIIS in 2004, he started Joseph J. Yablonski & Associates LLC, his consulting firm where he continued to work for many years. Skiing played a large part in Joseph’s life. He met his wife Faith at the Skimos Ski Club in North Conway and later taught his two children how to ski. The people he and Faith met in the ski club became lifelong cherished friends, with whom they made many memories not only during the winter but also on summer camping trips. He was well traveled, having been to many exotic locales with his wife and family. He loved going to Old Orchard Beach in the Summer. Joe loved antique cars, but especially loved his Porsche Cayman. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed many Red Sox games with friends and family and even played in the Red Sox fantasy baseball league in Florida.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Faith (Citroni) Yablonski of Londonderry; his son, Eric Yablonski and his fiancé Kathleen Dwyer of W. Roxbury, MA; his daughter, Caitlin Yablonski of Londonderry; his sister, Joanne Diani of Worcester, MA; his brother in law, Mark Citroni and his wife Sheila; two sisters in law, Ruth Richardson and her husband Peter, and Maryann Citroni; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 5th from 3 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. At 7pm, there will be a ceremony at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
