Obituary

NATICK: Charles D. Lloyd, 88, of Natick died on Tuesday, July 17 after a period of declining health. His devoted wife of 59 years, Jane (Ward) Lloyd is survived by him.

Charles was born in Boston to the (late) Kenneth Janes who survived his first wife Helen (Archer) and second wife Rena Smith. Charlie graduated from Wellesley High School and graduated from Northeastern University as a Civil Engineer.

Charlie worked for Cerel then Vappi Construction building the Bunker Hill Community College and a Dialysis Center in Boston, two memorable places where he took his daughter Laurie. He ultimately retired from Natgun as a Project Manager.

Charlie was extremely proud of his involvement with the Masons. He was an active member for 60+ years. He was a charter member of Maugus Hill Lodge in Wellesley as well as a past Worshipful Master of both Maugus Hill and Meridian Lodge. Charlie was a very active member with his wife and daughters in the Order of The Eastern Star in Natick for 38 years, where he served as Worthy Patron 11 times. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling with Eastern Star.

In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by his daughters: Laurie Lloyd of Natick and Julie Lloyd-Parrott and her husband Michael of Framingham and his brother William E. Lloyd and his wife Bonnie Lee of The Villages, Florida.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 21st at 10am at John Everett & Sons, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, July 20th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in John Everett & Sons, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Charles’ name be made to either the James Campbell Masonic Angel Fund or the Grand Chapter of MA, OES Charitable Foundation Inc.
