Stanley D. Jones, Jr., age 56, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
Born in Attleboro, MA on December 11, 1961, he was a loving son of the late Stanley D., Sr. and Barbara A. (Boynton) Jones.
Stan was educated in Mansfield schools. As well as being a computer group leader and tech repair person at Xcerra in Norwood since 1985, he was also the proud owner and operator of the Appaloosa Office Cleaning Co.
Stan treasured times spent with his adoring family. He was a kind hearted man who throughout the years took youngsters under his wing and they in return loved him as a father and grandfather.
Stan was an avid football fan, enjoyed fishing and loved horses. He will always be fondly remembered for his strong work ethics, and at the time of his passing was anticipating the birth of his first grandchild.
He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter Jacquelyn I. Dore and her husband Jacob of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Sharon A. (Webb) Samuelson of Manomet, David Jones of Alabama and the late Stewart Jones. He is also survived by many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his former wife Ana I. Silva of Taunton.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Sunday, July 29th from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at the Hampton Inn, 600 New State Highway in Raynham.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Stan's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
