Caroline A. Francisco, age 102, of Fall River passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Manuel Francisco, and daughter of the late Manuel and Helena (Cambra) Rego. Caroline worked at Korber Hats for 40+ years, was a member of the Women’s Club at St. Peter & Paul, cooked for the rectory, CYO events and retreats. She was the 1st recipient of the Marian Medal and enjoyed baking, dancing, needlework and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her grandchildren; Glenn Smith (wife Jenn), Carolynn Smith (Lisa Pontes), and Darrin Smith (wife Adriana), great grandchildren; Kylie and Dylan Smith, Marissa Freitas, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Judith A. Smith, mother-in law of the late Thomas E. Smith, and sister of the late Manuel do Rego, Joseph and William Rego, and Lydia Pavao.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Monday with extended calling hours from 8-10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Interment is private.
