Obituary

NATICK: ADELMAN, Harriet 77, of Natick, died peacefully on July 7, 2018 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Daughter of Max and Rose Stetson, Harriet grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1958; continuing on to Boston University, where she studied journalism. Harriet founded "Harriedibles," a candy and cake company she ran for several years. She also worked as a proofreader at the Wellesley Townsman and then as a legal secretary at Manelis and Beresen in Framingham.

Harriet was an avid lover of theater and the arts and wanted to share those passions with the world; helping found both TCAN (the Center for the Arts Natick), as well as Amazing Things Art Center in Framingham. Harriet also loved gardening, and while residing at her homes in Sherborn and Natick, could be found most days tending to her myriad of flowers.

She was a dedicated friend and an incredibly brave woman. Even through seemingly endless cancer treatments, hospital stays and dialysis appointments; she always made sure to make those around her smile.

Harriet was a loving sister to Lois Glass and aunt to Andrea Glass of Foxboro; Michael Glass and his wife Diane of Wretham; and Debra Kirsch and her husband Stuart of Clayton. She is survived by two children: Jesse Adelman and his wife Stacey of Wayland; and Joshua Adelman of Los Angeles. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jacob, Max and Lindsay Adelman.

Donations in Harriet's name can be made to: UCSF: Kidney Project, 1700 4th St., Room 203, San Francisco, CA 94158-2330.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 10 at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK, MA 01760. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, Sherborn, MA 01770.
