Obituary

T. Cecile Drouin, 70, of Stone Dam Road, Glocester, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of Gerard Drouin. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Paul O. and Juliana (Paquin) Desrosiers. She had lived in Glocester for forty years and had previously lived in Cumberland.

She was retired from Department of Environmental Management – Division of Forestry as an Administrative Assistant. She was a long-time volunteer with the Girl Scouts. She taught CCD for several years and volunteered at St. Eugene’s Church. She was a committee member and past recording secretary for the Ancients and Horribles Parade.

Cecile has a strong love for family, she enjoyed reading, crafting and traveling. Cecile was always about going the extra mile for people. A holiday would not pass without her not making personalized gifts bags for her co-workers.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Peter Drouin and his wife Kari of Burrillville, Mary-Beth DeGrange and her husband Mike of Glocester, Eric Drouin and his wife Jodie of Woonsocket, her four grandchildren: Emily Hills, Lenna Richards and Andre and Ashton DeGrange and a brother Paul N. Desrosiers, of Coventry.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Eugene Church, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will be private. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm.
