Janet (Bettencourt) Dootson, age 87, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday June 30, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Westell Dootson, and daughter of the late Americo and Alice (Rogers) Bettencourt. Janet was the best wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt anyone could ever ask for.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter; Gail Stroker (husband Jeffrey), daughter-in-law; Susan Dootson, sisters; Alice Sa, and Theresa Warhall, grandchildren; Neil Dootson, Stephanie Costa (husband Paul), and Gabriel Zabatta, great grandchildren; Hayleigh, Serina, and Zoey, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Donald Dootson, and sister of the late William and George Bettencourt.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday July 6th here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Trinity Church at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday July 5th from 4-8 P.M.
