Bruce A. “Mickey” MacDonald, 78, a lifelong resident of Natick, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Bruce was born on April 15, 1940 to the late Margaret and George MacDonald. Bruce was a 1958 graduate of Natick High School and had retired from the Natick Labs in 1995 after serving the United States Government for 37 years.
After retiring Bruce became a snowbird and spent his winters in the Florida sun. Bruce was a resident of Deltona, Florida for the winters while remaining a Natick resident for the remaining part of the year. Bruce occupied his time by doing what he loved most, renovating and building things from his own plans. He could build anything he put his mind to do and filled his days with tools in hand. Being a true Natick resident, he frequented many downtown businesses including being a very frequent patron of Agostino’s. Bruce is survived by his children Cheryl Bosselman of Deltona, Florida, Cindie Pagano and her husband Joe of Framingham, Tricia Woodyard and her husband Tom of Deltona, Florida and Jim MacDonald and his wife Christine of Natick. Bruce was also the father of the late Ken MacDonald who passed in 2011. Bruce is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michelle, Joey, Christina, Tommy, Jeffrey, Holly and James and step grandson Jake, as well as nine great grandchildren.
Bruce is also survived by his sister Jean Sullivan and her husband Ted of Marlboro and his brother Keith MacDonald and his wife Donna of Natick. Bruce was preceded in death by his brother Roy many years ago. There are also many surviving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service on Sunday July 8th, 2018 at 11:00 A.M from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, Natick, MA.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 starting 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
