Obituary

Michael P. Kelley, a resident of Andover, and beloved son of Charles G. and Kathy F. (Smith) Kelley, passed away on June 14, 2018. He was 38 years old.

Michael was born in 1980. He attended St. Augustine’s School and graduated from St. John’s Preparatory School and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He worked as an investment operations analyst. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He also loved the outdoors, especially Plum Island and the White Mountains. Michael was an energetic, outgoing, kind person with many friends. He loved cats. Above all, Michael was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed by all who love him.

Besides his parents, Charles and Kathy, Michael is survived by his loving siblings, Suzanne and her husband David Austin, Linda and her husband Jean-Philippe Laurenceau, Christina Kelley, Eileen and her husband Amit Sen, and Andrew and his wife, Fabiane Kelley. He is also survived by his uncle, Peter Smith, and his aunt, Carolyn Gorecki, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA at 10 AM on the 29th day of June followed immediately by burial at the St. Augustine’s Cemetery. Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Collateral Repair Project (refugee assistance based in Amman, Jordan, collateralrepairproject.org) and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (mspca.org). Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover.
