LEICESTER: Brian M. "Bam Bam" Wood, 54 of Town Beach Rd., died suddenly, Monday, June 25 at his home.
He leaves his father Donald F. Wood of Cherry Valley, his brothers Steven F. Wood of Leicester, Kevin J. Wood of Cherry Valley, and Alan R. Wood and his wife Lynn of Cherry Valley, his sisters Donna J. Harrington and her husband Mark of Leicester and Deborah A. McCue and her husband Andrew of Cherry Valley, nine nieces and three nephews who looked forward to Uncle Brian’s Annual Surprise Christmas game. Each one holding their own special spot in his heart. Brian is pre deceased by his brother David who died in 2010.
Born in Worcester, he was the youngest son of the late Barbara A. (McPhillips) Wood who died in 2013. He later graduated from Leicester High School earning an award for four years of perfect attendance. He also attended Worcester State College. Brian was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion serving the Cherry Valley Squadron 443 as Historian and the Detachment of Massachusetts as its POW-MIA Chairman. He was also a member of the Dog House Club.
Brian worked for Corrpro Companies, Inc. of Penn. since February of 2008 as a Corrosion Technician, where he formed many strong friendships with his co-workers. We will miss his contagious laugh, his sense of humor and his Holiday Yellow sweatpants.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 30 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester.
