WRIGHT, Michael S., 47, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2018.
Michael was a proud Gulf War combat veteran of the United States Navy, from which he had retired as a Petty Officer. He was a part of the Naval Aircraft Carrier Battle Group USS Saratoga. He was also a graduate of Jeffersontown High School and had attended Eastern Kentucky University.
He is survived by his parents, Marilyn and Christopher Smith; sister, Pathersa “Terri” Wright Curtis; brothers, Stephen Thomas Wright and Christopher F. Smith, Jr.; niece, Lauren Curtis; nephew, Noah Smith; and aunt, Phyllis Duncan.
Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8pm at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Funeral Mass will be 9am Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 531 E. Liberty Street, Louisville. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Central in Radcliff.
