Dartmouth – Emily Lomba, age 86, passed away on June 21, 2018 at home. Emily was the wife of the late John F. Lomba. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Peter L. and Maria (Sylvia) Lopes.
Emily had been a supervisor at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Employment Training.
She is survived by her children, son, Robert Jude Gosselin and wife, Gigi of Mashpee, daughter, Ronna McCue and her husband, Bob of Dartmouth and step children, Debbie Lomba, Lee-Ann Frysinger and Nadine Gomes, all of New Bedford, grandchildren, Erika Connor, Jonelle Berment, Shane Aaron Swansea and Thomas John McCue; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Alyce Rezendes of new Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Leonard, Eddie, James, John, Stanley, Henry, Albert and Agnes Lopes, also the late Rosemary Joseph.
Emily’s visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.. Her Funeral will be Wednesday at 8 A.M. at the funeral home with a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St Johns Cemetery.
