Glee Burch Bradley, 69, of Screven & Fitzgerald, GA passed away on Monday, June 18th, at Harbor View of Jesup, GA after a bout with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Bradley was born on March 22nd, 1949 to the late Dr. and Mrs. John B. Burch. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School and received her LPN from the Ben-Hill School of Practical Nursing. She worked for over 40 years in hospitals, medical centers, and nursing homes. She retired from Wilcox State Prison in 2014 and moved to Screven soon afterwards to be closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She enjoyed her work, spending time with her family, connecting with friends on Facebook, dragonflies, her Yorkie, Trixie, her son & daughter-in-law’s toy poodle, Bristow, and a GOOD laugh.
Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar A. Bradley. She is survived by her son and his spouse: Stacy & Jan Wells of Screven; grandchildren Chloe Wells & Bailey Wells of Kingsland; sister: Tullye Ralph of Forsyth; her brother and his spouse: John (Johnny) B. Burch, Jr. & Debra Burch of Fitzgerald; nieces & nephews: Dawn & Hannah Williams, Stephen Swain, Jonathan, Melissa, & Olivia Burch, Jimmy, Emily, Jadyn, & Kerrigan Howell.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. G. Kenneth Ross officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM in the sanctuary on Saturday. Interment will be private.
