Obituary

Girolama “Mimi” (Causi) Muscarella, of Malden, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 20th.

Born and raised in the North End, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Paolina (Baudanza) Causi.

She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario “Mike” Muscarella, a devoted mother to Loreto Muscarella and his wife Elizabeth of Lowell, Michael Muscarella and his wife Rosalie of Medford, Paula Morgan and her husband Leland of Malden. Survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary Marinello and the late Jospeh Causi and Ann Cause. She also leaves many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mimi was devoted to her family and was always sincerely interested in the day to day happenings in their lives. She asked the right questions, gave the best advice and served as everyone’s honorary grandma.

Mimi was also a retired seamstress, she enjoyed mending and sewing clothing for everyone. She made doll clothes for all the family’s children, crocheting baby blankets, the newest scarf fashions and countless other projects. She also liked to travel, go to plays and bake cookies and cakes for all occasions. We will miss her pizzagaina.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Monday, June 25th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
